Her paintings were created <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">using<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> a <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">variety of<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> technique<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, combining w<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">ork<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> in classical ink and computer graphics. The result of such a synthesis allows to fully <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">realise<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> how an artist can keep up with the <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">current <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">times, using traditional painting fundamentals while working on a graphics tablet. At a time when artificial intelligence is rapidly taking over the world and many people wonder how technological progress affects art, Maya Yaroshenko answers this question with her works <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">deep, full of meaning and extremely modern.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s7\"><span style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\">The whole series of paintings is permeated with the motif of war and the way the artist internally experiences the events of recent years in three countries to which she is directly related. This is very vividly embodied in the painting <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Another <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">B<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">rick in the <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">W<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">all<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, in which two columns of indistinguishable people walk towards death. Despite the similarity of expressive <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">devices<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, the skeletons in <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u00c1 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">la se<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">c<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">onde<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, painted in soft pink, gracefully perform ballet pas. The artist, for whom one of her <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">favourite<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> subjects <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">to paint <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">is a human being, was inspired to create this painting by a pair of swans, which she often observed on the lake near her home. In the image inside, the horizon is ablaze with bright fire, gradually merging with the viewer<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s own painted ones. This painting can well be called prophetic, as this scene came to the artist in a dream a month before the horrific events of 7\/10 in Israel, from where she left to study right before the war. However, according to her own words 10 years ago her abilities <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">were<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">not as desirable<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">,<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">not even enough to be accepted to an art school in Moscow. Instead, the artist chose her own path, combining drawing and computer graphics, and already at the age of fourteen took part in her first group exhibition in Israel, where she was the youngest participant, on a par with adult artists.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s7\"><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Maya<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s efforts to improve her drawing skills over the years have not been <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">in vain<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">. Even when she draws abstract shapes in ink, they form themselves into multifaceted compositions. The painting <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Life\/Death<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> on display at The Brick Lane Gallery is a perfect example of this, statically depicting the process of life from beginning to end through the forms <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> womb and skull.
