Now, the venue can even boast of featuring new<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">(electronic) Russian punk, much to the delight of London<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s Russian<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">-speaking<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> community.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s4\"><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The concert started at eight and, surprisingly for a punk band, began without any delays from the<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">members but also without an <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">warming-up<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> act. It should be noted that an opener wasn<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">t needed as the<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">concert kicked off energetically, with the lead singer and founder of the band, Ilya &#8220;Ilyich&#8221; Prusikin,<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">taking the stage in a dress inspired by the cult 90s anime character Sailor Moon. Following him was<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">lead singer Sofya Tayurskaya, who did not share her colleague<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s love for Japanese culture,<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">appearing in a more standard concert outfit. Little Big continued with a mix of songs from their recent albums, including one of their<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">latest hits, &#8220;<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Pendejo<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">&#8220;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s4\"><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Following the newer songs, they performed one of their most famous tracks from the 2015 album<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">&#8220;Funeral Rave&#8221; <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">&#8220;Big Dick,&#8221; which has 89 million views on YouTube. Before performing it,<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Prusikin had the entire audience chant &#8220;penis,&#8221; joking that it was his newest &#8220;secret&#8221; song.<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Next,<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Little Big performed another hit <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">&#8220;UNO,&#8221; <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">the song they were supposed to represent Russia<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">with at Eurovision 2020. Due to the pandemic, the standard concert was replaced with an online<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> f<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">estival, for which the band released a <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">music <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">video that has garnered over 250 million views. Like<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">previous songs where the dance is a significant part of the performance, the singers and fans danced<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">together to the video<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s choreography.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s4\"><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">After this, the singers appeared in costumes from the &#8220;GO BANANAS&#8221; music video, during which<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">an inflatable banana was thrown into the crowd by a fan. Since its inception, Little Big has been releasing songs in<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">English and has used words and phrases from French, Italian, and Spanish in some later works,<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">which may explain their enormous popularity abroad. However, the fans varied greatly in<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">appearance <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">there were classic punks with <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">mohawks<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, young children, and middle-aged people<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">dressed in regular summer clothes.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s4\"><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Fans came not only from London: there was a minor conflict at the entrance between security<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">guards and girls who had traveled from Cardiff <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">the guards didn<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s6\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">t want to let them in with their<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">suitcases, which deeply offended the fans.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s4\"><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">However, one fan stood out even among the diverse crowd <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2014 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">an Englishman wearing a T-shirt with<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Putin<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s image. The meaning of this gesture remains a mystery, as the band members themselves<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">condemned the actions of the Russian <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">government<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> in Ukraine and left the country in the summer of<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">2022. Currently, Little Big<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s concerts are banned in Russia, and Ilya Prusikin has been listed as a<\/span><\/span> <span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">&#8220;foreign agent.&#8221;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After a nearly six-month delay, the Russian punk-pop-rave group Little Big finally performed their concert in London.
