Unlike his more structured works, both early and late<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">which often draw from literary sources, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Che?<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> was created without a script, relying heavily on the actors<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019 <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">improvisations. In the United States, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">it saw<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> a limited release <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">a <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">year after its creation, while in Poland, the Polanski<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s homeland, it was <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">never<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">shown. On various databases, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">its<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">audience<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> rating rarely exceeds <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">six<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> stars out of ten. It feels as though the director, accompanied<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> by<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> a camera and a merry <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">band<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">ventured<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> on vacation and decided to <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">amuse<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"><\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">himself<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> by filming a surreal opus. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">M<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">ost likely that&#8217;s exactly how it was<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">:<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Polanski<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, known for overspending budgets, made the film cheaply<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">, <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">complet<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">ing<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> shooting ahead of schedule.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"s4\"><span>\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">The film has faced criticism for its fragmented plot<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> and <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">perceived triviality, accused of failing to convey significant meaning. <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">B<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">ut what coherence can one expect from a dream? It is interesting to consider <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s5\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">Che?<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> as Polanski<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> break with hippie culture, revealing that even in a world of free love, coarseness and falseness can manifest.<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">In the film<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u2019<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">s<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\"> <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">finale, at the <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s3\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u201c<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">mad tea party,<\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">\u201d <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">the nearly naked heroine <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">is <\/span><\/span><span class=\"s2\" style=\"letter-spacing: 0em;\"><span class=\"bumpedFont15\">bewildered by the hush-hush mockery of others.
