Spanning six weeks, two group shows will show the work of two groups of ten artists. The first part will run from 30 July to 15 August, and the second part will running from 19 August to 4 September. Works on show will include painting, sculpture, textiles, photography and installation, exploring themes of desire, memory, intimacy and transformation through a diverse range of material and conceptual approaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Across painting, sculpture, textiles and installation, the artists in this exhibition explore ideas of memory, desire, intimacy and transformation. Jane Preston\u2019s organic forms imagine a more reciprocal relationship between humanity and nature and Taiba Akhuetie considers hair as a carrier of personal and cultural histories. Georgina Odell\u2019s woven works reflect on the fragility of memory, while Amelia Cross elevates the tools and traditions of garment making through her distinctive sewn paintings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Questions of fantasy and the body emerge in Ella Lynch and Jingyi Li\u2019s work, with Li\u2019s delicate exploration of paradise and desire in lace and Lynch\u2019s grotesque reimagining of feminine stereotypes. Victoria Ruiz\u2019s mask sculptures are a meditation on fear, mortality and the spirit. Zoya Smirnova\u2019s protective clay forms and Phoebe Corker-Marin\u2019s shifting sculptures similarly examine the body as a site of vulnerability, transformation and belief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Elsewhere, George Wilkin\u2019s reverse-twin paintings draw on ideas of opposition and emergence, while Jack Laver collapses the distinction between painting and frame, treating both as a unified whole. Anna-Lena Krause assembles digital fragments into imagined intimacies, and Sophie-Mei Birkin creates a material ecosystem from crystallised photographic surfaces inspired by microbial life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Drawing on folklore, spectacle and collective narratives, John Spyrou\u2019s cropped circus scenes evoke archival and religious imagery, while Rizza Zahid translates South Asian diasporic myths into speculative urban worlds. Louis Petit combines painting with ambient field recordings to explore how place shapes perception and Tom Hallimond redirect attention from individual identity towards the emotional dynamics between figures. Completing the exhibition, Antonia Caicedo Holgu\u00edn reflects on proximity and disconnection in shared urban spaces, considering the unseen psychological tensions that exist between bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
