The retailer continues to expand its store network across the country and is preparing to launch a strategic partnership with Marks & Spencer (M&S) in spring 2027. Following successful editions around the world, Sephora has chosen London to host the European version of its beauty festival for the first time. Unlike traditional industry trade shows, SEPHORiA focuses on giving consumers the opportunity to engage directly with beauty brands. Visitors will be able to test products, discover new launches, take part in workshops and meet brand representatives.

The programme will focus on several areas that Sephora believes will shape the future of the beauty industry: hyper-personalisation, Asian beauty, technological innovation and specialised beauty services.

One of the key technology showcases will be Beauty Scan, a new skin analysis system designed to provide personalised product recommendations. The technology assesses skin oil and hydration levels, helping customers select skincare products tailored to their individual needs. Beauty Scan also enables more accurate foundation shade matching. According to Sephora, the system provides more detailed insights into skin condition than solutions based exclusively on mobile apps.

Another major highlight will be the SEPHORA Prize for European Incubation awards ceremony. Sephora Europe launched the new initiative in spring 2026 to support emerging European beauty businesses. The programme aims to identify promising brands and help their founders grow their businesses by drawing on the expertise and commercial resources of the international retailer.

The winners will be announced on the opening evening of SEPHORiA London. The overall winner will receive three years of support from Sephora Europe, including guidance on research and development, expert mentoring and promotional opportunities across the company’s channels. Two additional winners will benefit from a year of marketing and advisory support, including insights into market trends and strategic business guidance. Following the ceremony, festival visitors will be among the first to discover the winning brands and their products in the dedicated The Next Big Thing space. Sephora already uses this concept to introduce emerging brands to customers, alongside its Hot On Social initiative, which highlights beauty products that have gained popularity on social media.

More than 40 beauty and fragrance brands will participate in SEPHORiA London. They include Charlotte Tilbury, Fenty, Huda Beauty, Rare Beauty, MAC Cosmetics, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Natasha Denona, Hourglass, Haus Labs, Makeup By Mario and Marc Jacobs Beauty. Skincare brands will include Glow Recipe, Byoma, Laneige, Shiseido, Medik8, Tatcha, Summer Fridays, Anua, Aestura and Yepoda. Olaplex, Kérastase, Ouai, Kayali, Phlur, Commodity, Sol de Janeiro and other brands will also feature in the programme.

A dedicated series of 30-minute workshops will give visitors the opportunity to meet the founders and representatives of leading beauty companies. Confirmed participants include Danessa Myricks, founder of Danessa Myricks Beauty; Marc Elrick, founder of Byoma; Sarah Lee, co-founder of Glow Recipe; and Geraldine Decaux from Lightinderm. Additional sessions will be hosted by Saie and Yepoda. Participants will be introduced to new products, make-up techniques, skincare advice and professional beauty tips and tricks.

Beyond product presentations, Sephora aims to demonstrate the growing connections between the beauty industry, wellness, fashion and entertainment. One of the festival’s partners will be the UK-based wellness community SANCTUM, which will host 12-minute sessions combining physical movement with immersive experiences. Visitors will also be able to enjoy self-guided meditations and Beauty is Energy, an immersive audio experience developed by SANCTUM in partnership with Sephora.

The organisers will place particular emphasis on making the event more accessible to visitors with different sensory needs. Building on Sephora’s international Quiet Hours initiative, which caters in part to neurodivergent customers, noise-reducing headphones will be available to guests upon arrival. A dedicated relaxation area within the SANCTUM space will offer opportunities to unwind, recharge and take part in guided meditation experiences.

The cultural programme at SEPHORiA London will also feature an immersive presentation of Sephora Europe’s Christmas advertising campaign starring American singer John Legend. As part of the campaign, the musician recorded Here It Is, an original song created exclusively for Sephora. A specially designed recording studio at the festival will give visitors the opportunity to sing the song themselves. Combining music, movement and emotion, the campaign presents the festive season as a time of joy, connection and shared celebration.

Sephora has also prepared several exclusive collaborations with British brands for the London event. Designer ASHISH has created a special merchandise collection, while TREATS Studios has developed a SEPHORiA-themed edition of its popular personalised alphabet charms, which will be available to purchase at the festival.

Several local brands will contribute to the festival’s food and drink offering. MATCHADO will serve matcha oat lattes and vegan matcha sorbet, with a complimentary vegan matcha chocolate chip cookie included with each purchase. Functional drinks brand PUNCHY will offer tastings of its beverages containing electrolytes, minerals and vitamins C and D. Meanwhile, Lost Sheep ICED Coffee will introduce a caffeine-free, fibre-enriched canned drink, which the organisers describe as a first for the UK market.

The 180 Studios venue itself will be transformed into a stylised representation of London, divided into three themed neighbourhoods: the Theatre District, the Underground District and the Residential District. Each will explore different aspects of contemporary beauty culture, from innovative products and interactive entertainment to brand discovery experiences.

The arrival of SEPHORiA London reflects Sephora’s strategy of developing its retail business through personalised services and direct consumer engagement. Alongside expanding its store network, the company is investing in diagnostic technologies, supporting emerging brands and developing formats that combine beauty retail with educational and entertainment experiences.

Founded in France in 1969, Sephora has been part of the LVMH Group since 1997. Today, the company operates in 37 markets, employs approximately 55,000 people and has a global network of more than 3,400 stores. Its portfolio includes nearly 500 brands, alongside its own label, Sephora Collection.

SEPHORiA London 2026

Dates: 16–17 October 2026

Venue: 180 Studios, London, United Kingdom

SEPHORiA Europe will take place in London for the first time on 16–17 October 2026, bringing together some of the biggest names and emerging players in the beauty industry.
