Description

These aged-style bears are crafted from hand-dyed mohair or viscose by London based Russian artist Natalia Koall, who has been creating them for 17 years. Each bear is entirely handmade and fully jointed with cotter pins.

Natalia continues to sign her bears with her maiden name, Natalia Isachenko, which has become a recognizable brand over the years. A philologist by education, Natalia has been a professional teddy bear maker since 2007.

Creating teddy bears became her profession after years of honing her skills in drawing, sewing, and modeling. She has always been passionate about artistic dolls and discovered her love for teddy bears while attending Galina Ishimikli’s Doll Art School in Saint Petersburg, specializing in teddy bear creation. What began as a hobby quickly turned into a full-time passion and profession.

Today, Natalia’s work is highly regarded by collectors and colleagues both in Russia and around the world.

All her teddy bears are made using a special technique developed over 100 years ago, ensuring all parts are jointed to the body. This allows the legs, arms, and head to rotate 360 degrees.

For the clothing and decoration of her bears, Natalia exclusively uses natural materials such as cotton, linen, leather, felt, and silk. For stuffing, she opts for traditional wood shavings and natural wool.

Each teddy bear comes with a personalized passport certificate that includes its name, height, materials used, and the date of creation (month and year).
