Synecdoche Montauk

Event Description

Synecdoche Montauk comes into London scene with his art-pop Pierrot core on the 20th of September at The Steel Yard — expect the spectrum of alt-R&B, avant-club, and ethereal deconstructed electronics.

UK-based composer, producer, and singer-songwriter Savva Rozanov flows, dances and dashes between the self-proclaimed ‘pierrot-core’, the gentleness of folk and electronic music, and the chaos of idiosyncratic performance with a touch of experimental theatre.

In the recent album ‘Acume’ Synecdoche Montauk takes listeners on a fascinating voyage through the avant-pop universe with a heavy focus on texture and sound design. During his Steel Yard performance Rozanov showcases his bizarre, vibrant playfulness in its entirety: loud and charming, quiet and ecstatic, thrilling and intimate.

Supported by Avice Caro, a solo fairytale-folk singer weaving tales from literature and myths, and Sarahsson, whose visually arresting and theatrical live performances explore themes of identity, history, and belonging.
