Victoria’s approach to photography is meticulous and patient. Not only does she explore large metropolitan cities such as New York, Toronto or London, but she often travels to remote and less-visited places, taking time to adjust to new environments, light conditions, and local rhythms. She believes that capturing the essence of a place requires patience and a deep understanding of its atmosphere.

Victoria has always been a keen observer and although some themes, subjects or characters may pique her curiosity spontaneously and by pure chance, it is the choice of light and composition that transform her findings into images.

In contrast to staged photography, the candid or street genres do not create artificial reality, nor alter the existing one. Instead, they use the momentarily existing conditions as a means to create the desired effect on the viewer, becoming a medium through which one is trying to convey one’s vision and feelings. Victoria finds it extremely fortunate and rewarding if she manages to make the quintessential atmosphere of a place she captured reverberate in people’s minds.

Beyond her technical skills, Victoria’s work is deeply influenced by her personal experiences and philosophical reflections. Growing up in a society dominated by a single ideology, she found particular interest in observing the ancient and diverse beliefs that continue to shape lives in the East. In Thailand, for example, highlights the peaceful coexistence and mindfulness practiced by Buddhist monks and villagers, offering a stark contrast to the stress and vice often associated with modern life.
